Just four elements combine to form our polished concrete: water, sand, cement, and Jute. Yet, the finish is different each time. When taken out of the mould, micro indentations, and bubbles form, creating a unique character to each piece. It's a living material that grows with you if you let it. Left untreated, atmospheric changes and any of life's chips and bumps you pick up along the way will build more character. You can add or remove these as you wish.
Our Polished Concrete is a lightweight material, and some pieces will necessarily be reinforced with metal grids. Before we ship to you, we always apply a pre-treatment, requiring a regular application for protecting the finish.
If you prefer a more refined finish, you can always make quick repairs. Concrete is a versatile material, and it is possible to apply fast-drying cement and fine sand to finish.
Concrete utilises raw materials that do not cost the earth. However, environmentally, concrete is not the most sustainable material. What makes our polished concrete furniture more sustainable is its longevity.
